In this particular composition, the subject is caged in a glass box that allows an outside view but restricts the potentiality of the wings. The pandemic has created lots of such invisible barriers for new startups, creative freelancers & artists. This artwork depicts that they will rise, they might be in the box for a while, they might be getting hurt but they are being patient & eventually will break free and fly.

Prithviraj III famously known as Prithviraj Chauhan or Rai Pithora was one of the greatest Rajput rulers who ever lived. He is the famous ruler of the Chauhan dynasty who ruled the Sapada Baksha which is a traditional Chahamana territory.

Prithviraj Chauhan is widely known as a warrior king who bravely resisted the Muslim ruler, Muhammad of Ghor, the ruler of the Muslim Ghurid dynasty with all his might. In 1192 CE, Prithviraj was defeated by Ghurids at the second battle of Tarain and later he was executed after his defeat.

The Prithviraj Raso claims that Prithviraj was taken to Ghazna as a prisoner, and blinded. On hearing this, the poet Chand Bardai traveled to Ghazna and tricked Muhammad of Ghor into watching an archery performance by the blind Prithviraj. This artwork (art & rap) is inspired from this famous book Prithviraj Raso.

Chandragupta Maurya, known as Sandrakottos (or Sandrokottos) to the Greeks, was the founder of the Maurya Dynasty (4th-2nd century BCE) and is credited with the setting up of the first (nearly) pan-Indian empire. He was a brave and charismatic—a born leader. The young man came to the attention of a famous Brahmin scholar, Chanakya, who bore a grudge against the Nanda. 

Chandragupta’s new empire stretched from what is now Afghanistan in the west to Myanmar (Burma) in the east, and from Jammu and Kashmir in the north to the Deccan Plateau in the south. Today, Chandragupta is remembered as the unifier of India. 

When he was in his 50s, Chandragupta became fascinated with Jainism, an extremely ascetic belief system. In 298 BCE, the emperor renounced his rule, handing over power to his son Bindusara. He then traveled south to a cave at Shravanabelogola, now in Karnataka. There, Chandragupta meditated without eating or drinking for five weeks until he died of starvation in a practice known as sallekhana or santhara.
